Shearlocks are concealed magnetic locks and are commonly used on aluminium doors. They are available in a range of holding forces dependent on the security level of application.
Shearlocks are similar in appearance to maglocks in that they are comprised of an electromagnetic locking body, paired with a keeper or armature, but as the pull force isn’t a direct pull, and is in a shear direction (ie: across the locks face) Shearlocks have a greater holding force than a traditional maglock due to the incorporation of the locking lugs on the magnetic surface.
